And the Hollywood sign turns 100. A project that was set to last only 18 months is now a big part of LA. Part of why the sign is so iconic is the number of times it has shown up in movies and TV shows over the years.

The sign has also drawn countless dreamers to Los Angeles, looking for their moment in the spotlight. Crowds gather in Coachella to celebrate Dia de los Muertos at the annual Run with Los Muertos event. Over 150 runners met in front of City Hall to participate in the Run with Los Muertos celebration.

The holiday offers a chance to remember and honor those who have passed. The event included local artists who performed throughout the night, the Palmville Elementary dance team for performance, and there was even rows of local food trucks and local businesses selling their products.
