May 11, 2025 — RightNow News has officially announced the cancellation of its original series Inside Indio. The decision was confirmed in an internal memo sent to staff on Sunday, May 11.
"After weeks of consideration, we regret to inform you that our project Inside Indio has been officially canceled by RightNow News. The decision to end the planned 10-episode series was made due to a lack of production progress, which stemmed from internal challenges—not employee performance. Your employment will continue through the duration of your current agreements, which are set to expire in 2026. At that point, the contract renewal process will begin. Your compensation will remain the same. However, your focus will now shift toward contributing to RightNow News as a whole. We deeply value your continued commitment and are excited to move forward together. While our Q1 2025 reports show a decline compared to Q1 2024 and the previous year overall, we believe that with your help and revamped programming, we can recover and grow stronger than ever." - Internal Memo sent May 11
Production on the series began in October 2024, with the official announcement made in January 2025. After careful consideration, the network cited internal production challenges as the primary reason for the cancellation. These issues caused significant delays and impacted the overall timeline for the show’s development.
Despite the cancellation, the hard work of the production team will not go unseen. RightNow News will air three completed segments as part of the Anthony Martinez Reports program, scheduled for broadcast in late August or early September.
As for the team, all staff members involved with Inside Indio will remain with RightNow News in their current employment status. Hosts Kayla Vigil and Yzabella Cruz will transition to network correspondents, contributing to special assignments and field reporting. Anthony Martinez-Arizta will continue as the host of Anthony Martinez Reports. Other team members will be reassigned to various departments and projects within the company.
RightNow News remains committed to producing high-quality, in-depth journalism and looks forward to the next chapter of innovative programming.
