Indio ASB’s The Rundown Airs Five Straight Weeks of Special Coverage in March, Marking a Full Busy Month

March 31, 2026 —For five straight weeks, RNN’s signature production, The Rundown, created in partnership with Indio ASB, aired special coverage highlighting major student events and experiences.
The coverage began on March 3 with Episode 26, hosted by Indio ASB Class of 2027 Vice President Jazmin Vinalay. The episode previewed the Indio Leadership trip to Washington, D.C. Vinalay was joined by ASB President Alora Druyon, who shared insights into the group’s first day and expectations for the trip.
The following week, on March 9, Episode 27 aired as the second installment of the special coverage series. Hosted by Class of 2028 member Arleen Mejia, the episode featured Druyon once again, providing a final report and recap of the Washington, D.C. trip and the LEAD Conference. The segment was edited by Sophia Alejandre.
Later that same week, Episode 28 aired as a special edition of The Rundown. Hosted by RNN’s Sophia Alejandre, the episode featured in-depth interviews with five students, including Alora Druyon, discussing their experiences in Washington, D.C. The 15-minute conversation provided a deeper look into the impact of the trip.
On March 20, Episode 29 continued the special coverage with a report by Jazmin Vinalay from Idyllwild, California, highlighting the RYLA Camp experience. Hosted by Alora Druyon, the episode included a recap edited by Sophia Alejandre and live interviews with attendees Madeline Martinez and Evelyn Sandoval, who shared their experiences at the camp. The episode also featured a special segment in which the Class of 2027 revealed the 2026 Prom theme.
On March 25 and March 31, Episode 30 and Episode 31 aired as part of special coverage of the Indio High School Theater production of Mean Girls. Episode 30 was hosted by Class of 2027 member Dulce Salgado, while Episode 31 was hosted by Class of 2028 Publicity member Valeria Guillen-Castro. In Episode 30, RNN’s Anthony Martinez conducted a quick promotional interview with two cast members ahead of the show’s opening. In Episode 31, Martinez attended the musical and interviewed audience members and cast members following the second night of performances, capturing reactions and highlights from the production.
