However, he aspired to go beyond standard school announcements and sought to cover real-world news. This ambition led him to launch his own show, originally titled This Week in the News, which later evolved into This Week in the News RightNow.

In September 2021, Martinez-Arizta expanded his role by anchoring the 8 a.m. PST edition of RightNow, which aired on Jaguar TV. His career continued to grow, and on September 9, 2022, he returned to anchor the third season of RightNow News (formerly known as RightNow and This Week in the News).

A major milestone in his career came on October 1, 2022, when he conducted his first exclusive interview with Bianca Rae, the founder of the Bianca Rae Foundation. This marked a pivotal moment in his journalism career, showcasing his ability to conduct in-depth and meaningful interviews. He later had the opportunity to interview Rae again in March 2023 for a second exclusive feature.

On June 19, 2023, Martinez-Arizta took another significant step forward in his career by launching Anthony Martinez Reports on the RightNow News. The show, airing during prime-time hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, was a major achievement, allowing him to present in-depth reports and cover breaking news. His work on the show further established his reputation as a dedicated journalist with a strong commitment to delivering impactful stories.

In August 2023, Anthony Martinez Reports went on hiatus, with its return date uncertain. However, in September 2023, a new sub-show titled Anthony Martinez Reports in 60 Seconds was launched in partnership with Indio High School’s broadcast program, IMPACT News. More than a year after Anthony Martinez Reports went on hiatus, the show made its highly return in November 2024, revamped with a fresh design and updated format.

Both Anthony Martinez Reports and AMR in 60 entered their third season in 2025, continuing to build on their success. Anthony Martinez Reports now airs on Mondays, while AMR in 60 airs was move to Tuesdays.

Martinez’s work has not gone unnoticed, as he has been featured multiple times on KESQ News Channel 3, making his first appearance in February 2021. Beyond journalism, he has also collaborated with the Bianca Rae Foundation, contributing to the Rae for Hope Retreat, which focuses on youth empowerment and leadership.
